Using Patternmaker
These terms govern the use of Patternmaker, provided by UMS Apps. You may use the service for personal or business projects in accordance with these terms and applicable law. For questions, contact:
Provided “as is”
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Patternmaker and its output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation, or a particular fit or finished bean bag shape.
Check before cutting and sewing
Patternmaker is a design and drafting aid. Verify dimensions, units, seam allowances, fabric requirements and exported pieces before cutting. For full-size templates, print at Actual size / 100% and measure the test square. The one-page cutting guide is a dimensioned reference, not an actual-size template.
Custom profile patterns are approximate radial drafts. Fabric, stretch, sewing accuracy and filling affect the finished shape. Make a small test in inexpensive fabric before cutting final material. A preview or volume estimate is not a physical simulation or a recommended filling quantity.
You are responsible for selecting suitable materials, filling, seams and secure closures, and checking any product safety requirements applicable to your intended use. The app and its exports are not a safety certification.
Your content and backups
You retain your rights in your designs and files. You are responsible for having permission to use imported content and for keeping your own backups. UMS Apps does not acquire ownership of your designs by providing the service.
The latest project is saved locally in your browser when storage is available. Browser data can be cleared or become unavailable, and there is no cloud backup. Use Save project to download a JSON file that you can restore with Load project.
Responsible use
Do not use Patternmaker unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or use it to infringe another person's rights. Rights in the Patternmaker name, interface and software remain with UMS Apps or their respective owners.
Liability and mandatory rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UMS Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the service or its output, including lost profits, lost data, wasted material or production delays.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Availability and updates
We may update or discontinue free features. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date and apply prospectively, subject to applicable law. Keep a copy of the terms relevant to your use.
