Who provides Patternmaker
Patternmaker is provided by UMS Apps. For privacy questions or requests, contact:
Your designs and files
Bean bag profiles, dimensions, pattern calculations and imported project JSON files are processed in your browser. The app does not upload their contents to UMS Apps. Exported PDF patterns, SVG templates and project JSON files are generated in your browser and downloaded to your device.
Patternmaker does not require an account and does not provide cloud storage for your designs. Keep your own backups using Save project.
Browser storage and cookies
The latest project is automatically saved on this device using local storage under the key patternmaker.project.v1. It remains until replaced by another saved project or removed by clearing the site's data in your browser. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to reopen it.
Localhost, the Cloud Run address, the Firebase Hosting address and the custom domain each have separate browser storage. Use Save project and Load project to transfer a design between addresses. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.
Patternmaker does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or application cookies. No optional tracking services are loaded. The local project save is used to retain your work.
Website connections and hosting
Google Cloud Run and Firebase Hosting deliver this website. Accessing it shares technical connection information, such as your IP address, browser information and requested pages, with the hosting infrastructure. This information may be processed and logged to deliver the website, maintain its operation and protect it against abuse.
The app uses system fonts and does not load external fonts. External reference links and the UMS Apps link connect to their respective websites only when you follow them; those websites apply their own privacy policies.
Email, purposes and retention
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request. Avoid sending confidential design files or unnecessary personal information.
Where the GDPR applies, our basis for necessary website delivery, security and responding to enquiries is our legitimate interest in operating and supporting Patternmaker. Legal obligations may also require specific records.
We retain correspondence and technical records available to us only as needed to resolve requests, operate and secure the service, handle disputes or meet legal obligations. Provider-controlled logs follow the provider's configured retention. You may contact us for details relevant to your request.
Service providers and international processing
Hosting and email providers may process connection data or correspondence to provide their services, including outside your country. Where required by data protection law, transfers outside the EEA must rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Contact us for information about relevant providers and safeguards.
Your privacy rights
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise your rights, email us. We may need information to verify your request. Designs saved only in your browser are not held by us; you can remove them by clearing this site's browser data. Patternmaker does not use your personal data to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes to this policy
Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date. We will update this notice and provide any required choices before introducing optional analytics or advertising services.
